The hunt begins with scouring the internet and local shops for weird and quirky treasures to design my necklaces with. Treasure hunting is half the fun! Eventually a set of pieces will come together in the form of a necklace. Some treasures wait around a long time until just the right combination is gathered. Some treasures are fast to inspire and take on a necklace form. I love to let each little treasure tell its own weird story.

I hope that each of my necklace creations finds the right owner who will show them off and keep them safe when not in use. Each piece is intended to grab attention, start conversations and make a fun fashion statement. I don't want to solve world problems with my form of art...I just want to have a little bit of fun...life is serious enough on its own.

Thank you to Etsy for allowing all of us to present our creations for sale in a worldwide market. I have sold all over the world and am so excited to think that in so many parts of the world a little piece of of me is wandering around.

On a more personal note, I worked over a decade in the field of child welfare and social services. I primarily worked with disenfranchised families and "throw away" teenagers. I am a fighter for the rights of homeless individuals and firmly believe that we all need to remember that our lives can change in an instant and we never know where it will take us, so be kind and respectful to all regardless of their station in life. I now have the extraordinary privilege of staying at home to raise my daughter. However, once she is school aged...back to work I go. I truly hope that my daughter finds her creative spark too, no matter what direction it takes her in.

SHIPPING:
All jewelry items are packaged in a combination of recycled and new materials. As my pieces vary in size from big and bold to cute and little, there is no standard packaging size that can apply. I package all of the jewelry safely in an appropriate sized container or wrapped surrounded by a cushion of tissue paper and bubble wrap for protection.

All my Art Jars and Art Birdhouses are shipped with a cushion of tissue paper and/or bubble wrap and secured in the box by any additionally needed tissue paper or shipping products to ensure safety of the item while in transit.
